First Trigger Job and First CNC Project
This is the first trigger job I’m doing on a cartridge-fed firearm. We did the triggers for our black powder pistols last semester. You can’t really tell from the video but there are little imperfections in the flats of the trigger. They’re actually really good triggers for being mass produced but they are blued and they are not individually stoned and polished because they are not custom gunsmithed triggers. The wagon wheel is my first CNC project. My other machine projects up to this point were done using a manual lathe and mill.
Mini CNC table setup and configuration
Mini three axis table made from two cd rom drives and one floppy drive. A 3 axis controller drives the steppers and Mach3 is the software used. It’s too weak to cut anything so I plan on removing the pen and attaching a dvd burning laser to etch text and designs. This mini machine was build for almost nothing with the intention to learn about stepper motors, how stepper drivers work and what g-code is. This video shows the setup and configuration.
