Hi! This shows a rendering I made in Autotesk Inventer Pro 2008 of my home made CNC router. I’m currently working on the gantry and it’s 90% done. The gantry is made of 15mm aluminium and pretty strong and rigid. The work area is 1000 x 800 x 200mm. It will be driven by a 4 axis HobbyCNC kit with 305 oz/in steppers. X and Y ballscrews are 10mm/rev and Z is 5mm/rev. First I’m going to see how this kit is performing, but I made it upgradeable so that it will be easy to install some NEMA 34 steppers later on. CNC routing of wooden block for letterpress relief printing
Some experimenting with a CNC router to create a block which can be used for letterpress or relief art printing on an iron handpress. This block is a 30cm x 50 cm panel of massive beech glued together from several smaller blocks. Cutting depth is 5 mm with a 60 degree V-bit.
