When you build yourself a CNC Machine you will need a number
of different components or parts. You
might here terms like, ballscrews, leadscrews, steppers, servos, drivers,
cables, power sources, linear rails, linear bearings, etc. These are all different types of components
to a CNC Machine.
Most often you will need to decide if you want to use a
stepper or servo set up. That is one of
the greatest debates in CNC. Which to
use and why you are going that way is the question. Each type of motor provides different
advantages over the other and it really depends on your application.
